Indeed, we are proud to say its top speed of 205 mph (329 km/h) makes it the fastest series production model in our 100-year history. The key to this sensational uplift in performance is the unique combination of our latest generation 6.0-litre V12 engine and seven-speed Sportshift III automated manual transmission.

V12 Vantage S produces extraordinary figures. 565 bhp (573 PS), 11% more than V12 Vantage, 620 Nm (457 lb ft) of torque, a 9% increase, combined with a weight saving of 15kg 'power to weight' increases by more than 10%.These gains endow the V12 Vantage S with tremendous low and mid-range muscle.

When coupled with the immediacy and perfectly spaced ratios of the paddle-shift gearbox the V12 Vantage S results in explosive acceleration – 0-60 mph takes just 3.7 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds) – and an intoxicating sense of boundless power.

Every element of the V12 Vantage S has been carefully matched to ensure it is the ultimate in performance and capability. This harmony can be found in the fact we have paired our most potent production engine with our most powerful Carbon Ceramic Matrix braking system. Likewise, the agility and directness of its precisely honed steering and suspension has been complimented by traction, stability control and ABS systems that are perfectly in tune with the car’s heightened responses.

As you would expect there is a raft of advanced technology to provide an invisible safety net, but the uprated DSC and ABS systems operate discreetly – their intervention thresholds precisely calibrated to remain very much in the background until their help is required. This approach acknowledges that it is you and not the car that has control, leaving you free to enjoy a uniquely organic, tactile driving experience that places you at the epicentre of the action.
